City of Deerfield Beach gets new sun shades at Sullivan Park

Shade Systems™ is proud to have provided its colorful and imaginative ‘Sail’ shades for the newly renovated Sullivan Park in Deerfield Beach, Florida.  Sullivan Park is a very high-profile public site in Deerfield Beach, located directly on the intracoastal waterway and Hillsboro Blvd., in full view of passing boat traffic and visiting tourist crowds.

At the park’s grand opening on February 25, 2017, the Senior Landscape Architect on the project, Mr. Kirk J. Olney, RLA, of the consulting design firm Bermello Ajamil & Partners, expressed complete satisfaction with the Shade Systems canopies.

This project consisted of two mirror-imaged ‘Sail’ systems to shade the children’s play areas, as well as a central Multi-Level ‘Sail’ pavilion for picnic seating.  Fabric canopy colors selected were our Rivergum Green and Desert Sand for the canopies, with Alpine White powder-coated steel columns, lending the entire site a signature cool Florida vibe.

Of course, all Shade Systems ‘Sail’ designs feature our remarkable CoolNet™ shade fabric in a variety of colors for maximum air cooling and protection from up to 99% of the sun’s dangerous U.V. rays. Plus, removal and re-attachment of the canopy is a breeze with our simple stainless steel one-point fastening features built right in, as shown in this video!
