Shade Systems strikes out the competition with new bleacher shades!

Shade Systems™ is proud to have provided new T-Cantilever and Offset T-Cantilever shade structures for Timken Sports Complex in the city of Union, South Carolina, with the help of its excellent sales reps at Churchich Recreation & Design.

After much research and a bidding process involving several competitors, Union County officials trusted Shade Systems™ to deliver the best, most impressive and durable bleacher shades for their sports complex.

The Timken Sports Complex opened its doors in 2010, but around 2 years later, they were hit by a severe wind storm that knocked down the original shades covering their bleachers. Upon review by their engineers, they realized the design of those older structures was weak and unsafe, which is why they did not hold up. Union County officials decided to budget over the next couple of years to install new structures that they could trust to provide ultimate protection from the sun’s harmful U.V. rays, while also being durable and easy to remove and reattach in the event of severe weather.

Shade Systems delivered remarkable results with its proven shade technology, which left county officials and visitors thrilled. “We are very happy with the installation and quality of products and work that we received,” said Kevin Shropshire, director of Timken Sports Complex. “All the employees, local leaders and in and out-of-town guests like them very much.”
