Brewer, Maine – September 16, 2011 - Shade Systems is proud to have provided the City of Brewer, Maine, a ‘Double Post Hip ’ shade system at their municipal pool to provide much-needed cooling shade relief and U.V. protection.
When the Maine Cancer Control Program offered the City a Skin Cancer Mini-Grant, City staff seized the offer. Mr. Ken Hanscom, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Brewer, explained that “skin cancer is a concern, even in Maine.” In conducting his search for the best shade structure, Mr. Hanscom spoke to O’Brien and Sons, the Shade Systems reps in New England. Mr. Hanscom was further very impressed with the Shade Systems website for all the information it provided concerning product warranties, technical specifications, etc. Once the installation of the Shade Systems ‘Double Post Hip ’ was complete, the new shaded area at the pool became very popular with adults and youngsters alike. Mr. Hanscom commented: “We are extremely pleased with the shade product, its durability, design, and ease of installation and removal of the fabric canopy for the winter months.” Shade Systems is known for its patented Turn-N-SlideTM easy canopy removal system which makes it simple for as few as just one person to quickly remove the canopy for the winter season or in the event of hurricane. Just as importantly, it also allows City staff to re-attach their canopy without hiring expensive outside help. And only Shade Systems products come complete with an instructional video on DVD format which shows how to use the Turn-N-Slide to remove and then re-attach your canopy.
